At Juem, consideration for social and environmental impact is in our nature.
We design small collections in limited quantities, more is less, less is better…. Fast fashion has no place here.
Designed by women for women. We are two mothers, working to better our world and our industry for our children and the generations to come.
Using natural cotton as the major fabrication, we use a small amount of elastane for functionality as breastfeeding is a time in life where we need extra support.
We manufacture in a small family run business, located in Guanzhou, China. We have visited recently to meet with them and tour their facilities, ensuring they are provided good working conditions, fair hours, and pay. They are audited yearly to comply with BSCI standards.
Any seconds, samples or end of line products we no longer need are donated to Thread Together, our local charity partner offering a hand up to those in need.
As a business where possible we reduce our consumption. Our product is packaged minimally, in place of conventional plastic, all product arrives at our warehouse within boxes in cornstarch packaging which is 100% home compostable. Our orders are then packed and sent out in biodegradable satchels composted by our customer.
As a young business we are always looking to improve our processes, and we commit to continuously doing so as we grow.
